Dear Diary 11/23/25

The soul craves connection more than anything else.

Not perfection.

Not performance.

Connection.

Art asks for your whole self.

My art helps me breathe life into what I fear,

find beauty in what I hide out of shame,

and soften even when I’m terrified of being unseen, unloved, or rejected.

I started journaling as a little girl.

I remember staring at a blank page thinking,

“It’s so beautiful and perfect… why would I ruin it with my imperfect story?”

But the truth is, the page becomes more beautiful the moment you spill yourself onto it.

When you open your ribcage wide enough for someone to step inside for a moment.

I can’t control what they do with that experience.

But I can control how I respond.

And no matter what, I choose to keep my heart open.

Every day, I choose joy.

I choose play.

I choose light.

I choose love.

There are two parts of me always in conversation:

The inner little girl

and the woman I am becoming.

I get to love both.

I get to be love for both.

People are never one-faceted or simple.

They are layered, contradictory, flawed, miraculous creatures.

My purpose is to create a space where people can arrive imperfect.

Where they can be loved through their becoming.

I want to be love for others.

Because that is what I’ve had to learn to be for myself.

And each day, I’m learning to meet life exactly as it is.

To give myself grace through the imperfections and failures.

I am connected with depth and meaning. 

I am calm internally

I am centered.

I am grounded.

I am steady.

I am present instead of reactive.

I am relaxed.

I am clear minded.

I am comfortable being alone.

I am at ease with sensations in my body.

I am connected to my intuition.

I am strong and capable.

I am safe.

I am self assured.

I am unshakeable.

I am proud of my identity.

I am worthy and enough. 

I am powerful in rooms.

I am clear about my value.

I am comfortable being seen. 

I am bold.

I am authentic.

I am certain of my direction.

I am in integrity with myself.

I am radiant and magnetic.

I am desired.

I am soft and open.

I am comfortable in my body.

I am connected emotionally and physically.

I am feminine.

I am appreciated and adored.

I am safe to explore.

I am attuned to pleasure.

I am playful.

I am confident in intimacy.

I am deeply bonded.

I am free in expression.
