Money can 100% improve my quality of life.

become unconquerable

"Sof, it’s not just money. You don't just want money if you're using sugar as a crutch. You don't just want money, but then you have no friends or you're overweight and you don't feel well physically. You got to have it all. All 5 pillars."

It’s about staying healthy, not just in body, but in mind.

If you live in NY and you’re going to a therapist because you’re all stressed and your cortisol is high and you want to get healthier but you’re body is fighting against you… instead of spending money seeing a therapist, how about you move to a place that is more conducive to the state of mind you’re trying to achieve? Get out of NY. Go to someplace where there is less noise. Choose a location where there are places to walk outdoors and everyone is healthy. Your mental health will improve. Your body will improve. YOU will improve.

We are on a race to find reach fulfillment. To achieve wealth, financial freedom, love, health, and purpose. Steve Jobs said, "I didn't want to be the richest man in the graveyard."  Since this seems a self evident truth you must inject an urgency into your life.  Stop feeling entitled to unlimited time. Don't procrastinate.

But on the flip side, the odds are that you will probably live for a bit longer so you don't have to be hasty.  You can invest and plan for the future. You don't have to try and get everything today.  You just can't act like you have an eternity to finish.

Buddha called it the "Middle Way" In Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle called it the "mean", the average between two extremes:

“... Virtue is a mean [average]... between two vices... the one involving excess, the other deficiency... It is no easy task to be good. For in everything it is no easy task to find the middle...”

"Be quick, but not in a hurry."

This is the mindset that will get you the good life.  Be quick about the things you have control over and be slow and patient over those things outside of your control.

You Can’t Be Good At Everything

If you try to be good at everything you will be good at nothing.

Deal With Problems Immediately

Here’s what Warren Buffett had to say about this: when a problem arises, deal with it quickly.

Problems don’t go away by ignoring them. Deal with it because it won’t go away. It will get worse over time, it won’t get better.

Have you ever found yourself VERY aware of this concept… and yet you can’t get yourself to do the thing you know you need to do? Ya. Me too. This one (for me at least) is really. fucking. hard.

Don’t Unlearn Old Tricks

Don’t be fancy. Don’t become so enthralled with learning new things that you forget some of the old-school principles that got you to where you are today.

Keep Your Physical Body Healthy

I am failing in this one. Pretty badly.

Your physical health is a must. No matter how much time and energy you’re putting into your business and investing, you can’t let your health go down.

If you let your health degrade, it’s a parasite on your productivity.

I journaled yesterday about how I see my body progressively getting worse.

If I make enough money, the firs thing I would start with is a full hormone panel and a blood glucose monitor to track my sugar levels.

I would see where I am at baseline and then I would work with a hormone specialist to see different ways I can biohack my life (because I am an absolute geek and I love that shit - it’s always been a dream goal for me to do that).

I would then move to a healthier place that makes me smile and allows for me to go on walks and hikes.

I would buy my dream: a personal trainer who shows me all the things I don’t know about exercises and that works side by side with me at the gym to push me and improve.

Someone that makes me feel safe and never asks me for sex (like my last and only personal trainer I’ve ever had) in the gym and I would never have to worry about other men approaching me, because they understand that I’m most vulnerable when I’m at the gym and I’m working on making myself better. I would pay for someone to meal prep my life so I don’t even think about food and I would have someone help me slowly come off sugar addiction.

I would pay for any enhancements I want to get cosmetically so I feel more confident and beautiful in who I am.

My Final Thoughts

They say money can’t buy happiness, but I think the reason they say it is because they’re broke themselves. Money can 100% improve my quality of life. When I finish my last sales call at 11:00 at night and tears stream down my face because I know I spent an entire day not working on my beautiful baby (Skinny Theory) who needs so much more attention then I can give her right now… I remember that I give my life meaning and feeling sad does not serve me in this season of life. It won’t make me close sales better. It won’t make money magically appear on my desk.

No. What it will do is make me seek sugar for comfort. It will make me toss and turn all night.

The only way out is to fortify my mental fortresses to become unconquerable to any emotional rollercoasters my body wants to try to throw at me. My body is my never ending shit test. And I must be strong enough to allow it to crash its waves upon me and never break.
