You Can Do More

DECIDE what is most important and then ALIGN your life around that thing and BE ABSOLUTELY RUTHLESS ABOUT IT

Life can often feel like it’s drowning you

If you are in a dark place and you hear that change is real and possible, doesn’t that lift your mood? Don’t you want that to be true?

And once you allow it (because you have to allow it) and you decide, "I FEEL BETTER because I CAN change," this smothering cloud of overwhelm can FADE AWAY IMMEDIATELY just because you realize YOU CAN change.

People are always looking for the energy to push through, and you have to know there IS A WAY. But a part of it is allowing a sense of lightness to be there.

This encourages you to take action, get better, and improve.

You don’t get skills by just saying things; you get skills by doing.

If you’re playing soft music or you have earplugs in, you have less sensory information going to your brain, so you’re more present in the environment. You can use that as leverage to tame your animal instincts, to obey you and focus on the single task at hand.

When the body wants to go back to its emotional past, and you become aware that your attention is on that emotion, and WHERE you PLACE your attention is where you place your energy, you’re siphoning your energy out of the present moment and into the past. Becoming aware of this allows you to pull your focus back to the present.

Your body will be looking for its predictable chemical state of dopamine.

Your will can BECOME GREATER than the program. And the more times you train it, the easier it becomes.

When the body is no longer the mind and it finally surrenders, there is a liberation of energy.

We go from particle to wave, from matter to energy, and we free ourselves from the chains of the emotions that keep us stuck in the past.

A habit is when you’ve done something so many times that your body now knows how to do it better than your mind. How you think and how you feel creates your state of being.

95% of who we are by the time we’re 35 years old is a memorized set of behaviors, emotional reactions, hardwired beliefs, and functions that work like a computer program.

How do you reprogram?

Everything comes down to your own value system. What are your beliefs, habits, principles, and values?

Implementation, being willing to face the fears of the unknown, is done by emotionally rewarding yourself for being willing to take the steps. What do I need to do to make sure that I won’t run in the opposite direction?

  1. Stop valuing yourself for being good at something and start valuing yourself for your ability and willingness to learn how to change.

So you hit the wall of your inadequacy and you don’t stop. You are aware of the skill sets that you need to develop, and you BELIEVE that you can develop them because you’re able to learn.

Even desire is something you have to learn to cultivate, to turn it into a raging inferno. To transfer wants in life into NEEDS.

Desire is a teachable concept. But does building the desire actually get you towards your goals?

Human potential is not of any kind of measurable limit. It can go as far as your desire or as far as you have the courage to walk.

Time is rolling away for all of us at the same pace.

So it’s only the energy that you can use to do different things. If you bring your energy to a certain level of intensity, you can take what someone did in 10 years and do it in 1 year, simply because you have managed your life in an incredibly efficient manner.

How conscious have you become? If you’re in compulsive cycles, then your energy gets wasted in many ways. People want to absorb your energy, and you need to protect your energy and aim it at what you want MOST in life.

If you see what a person is doing, a lot of it is happening in compulsive cycles. If you are sensitive to other people’s wants, then you are not in control of your life.

Your thoughts, emotions, and bodies are instruments to craft. Your compulsions are ruling you. LEARN to rule your own compulsions.

We all get to decide our values in life—our belief systems, our code of ethics. These are all DECISIONS we get to MAKE.

DECIDE what is most important and then ALIGN your life around that thing and BE ABSOLUTELY RUTHLESS ABOUT IT.

Period.
