Become the Warrior
Almost everybody quits. They all quit, with the big goal in their sight. People quit, and it’s so heartbreaking.
What holds people back from success?
Ego. You need a self-correcting mechanism. In the beginning, we all suck. When you’re embarking on something new, you’re going to be bad at it.
The problem is, if you think you’re amazing, failure hurts who you are or your sense of self. You’ll hide from the truth or won’t try again.
The flip side of that coin, though, is if you take everything on yourself—thinking, “I’m stupid, I’m wrong, I did this poorly, this didn’t work because of me”—then you won’t try again because you’ve completely deflated yourself.
So you have to walk this middle ground of having an ego but ensuring your ego causes you to stare nakedly at your inadequacies.
The way that I have found works best for me is to be known as the learner.
Most people want to be right, smart, winners. “It’s all will to power” - Nietzsche. Everyone needs to have that thing that makes them think, “because I have THIS unique thing, I am a badass.”
The need to show that you are powerful, to make progress, to strive for something, to bend the world to you in some way—then you realize that if you can’t make that will to power serve a purpose, you will create a self-destructive pattern.
When you try something and it doesn’t work, what do you do?
I’m the learner. I want to see what I’ve done wrong. THAT is my will to power. Because I am willing to accept the areas I am not good in, THEN I will BECOME someone of value.
Your ambition sometimes can cause you to take on everything. What is the remedy? Do less? I don’t like that feeling. I want to do more.
That is nature telling you, DO IT. GO OUT. EXPAND.
In all of us is an ANIMAL. What would it take for an ANIMAL to be so good that it could conquer every area of themselves?

How can you LEVERAGE your bestiality? You need to be able to stare into the abyss and know that you are CAPABLE of crossing it. Take the first step. Once you get out there, don’t let fear chip away your progress. Do and believe in what moves you toward your goals.
You are what you repeat.
What can you do with every waking moment to pattern interrupt your negative thinking and shift back into skill acquisition?
How can you take a 10-year goal and accomplish it in 6 months?

The habits that you create in your life are meant to optimize you for fulfillment.
Because I’m goal-obsessed, I don’t have to convince myself much. I know that if I want to have a business, I have to do things to put restrictions around every other area of my life to optimize for business.

Battling the short-term desire for the long-term desire.
You need to say internally: this is my goal and I’m obsessed.
You become what you repeat.
Then you tell other people.

Embody the emotion.
Your brain is not meant to help you get ahead in life. It will create a justification for everything you do to remain comfortable.
The only thing you can trust your brain to do is get you to stay alive long enough to procreate. That’s it.
Now that you know you’re being manipulated by your biology, what can you do to out-manipulate it?
What tactics can you leverage the way biology is?
I am not a woman.
I am not a man.
I am a soup of chemicals, and the more I master my chemicals, the only behaviors matter.
Take the actions that lead you to success.

All of life is nuanced.
All of life is complexity.
What part of YOU can you control to get better and self-improve?
Why am I not yet the ultimate form of supreme evolution?
We’re all given a deck of cards and 50% is hardwired and 50% is malleable to change.

And to build your habits and routines, you can 100X yourself around that 50% that’s malleable to change.
When you fall on the floor because everything you’re hardwired to be, you’re fighting against, and you can see that glowing ember of fire that represents your soul, pull it out and use the ember to spark flames.
I am having a biological experience and I will NOT quit.
Make the feeling you need to keep going so visceral that you CANNOT be stopped.

Repeat the habits until what you’re hardwired to want no longer exists. Create an image in your mind that makes you feel so aggressive that you will conquer anything that gets in your way.
Cover yourself in the dripping blood of every person who doubted you, opposed you, or wanted something else from you that you could not give.
Pour energy into the new hardwired habits.
Channel frame.

Force yourself to think in a whole new way.
No bullshit. What will it take? There is NO impossibility, and IF there was, it’s UP TO ME.
Recognize you have to overcome yourself. You are in SOLUTION mode. If it doesn’t violate the laws of physics, what are the KPIs that will get you to your goal?
I know that I cannot be broken.
You cannot break me.

I don’t give up. I don’t quit.
I make mistakes.
I am the biggest problem.
And I will force you to enter my reality distortion field until I find a way or make a way.
Become the warrior.

Be misunderstood.
Accept it or get out of my way.
